I'z is toast.
Mar. 22nd, 2008 09:02 pmI am exhausted. Whee. Any day that starts with 12+ hours of sleep is going to be rip-roaringly lazy.
It started Thursday night when I went to work out, and ended up working out hard - just shy of two hours cardio, average heart rate 80%. All good, except I hadn't eaten anything in about six hours. My heart rate monitor calculated that I burned just under 1100 calories. This is a recipe for bonking. And bonk I did. I sat on a stretching mat sipping electolyted water and feeling nauseous and slow-brained while my gym mate did weight training. By the time I headed home I felt like a thoroughly cooked noodle. I went to the gym yesterday and did a much easier workout to stave off stiffness. Today, I feel all of it. I am absolutely wiped out. Doing the dishes left me needing a nap, and all of my muscles are gooey. It's an interesting feeling, anyway.
I need to find a way to beat the extreme urge to hermit I've had for a couple of months now. I did make it to Church Night this week, but I felt both socially overloaded and useless - with the Foot of Fascial Fury I can't carry anything heavy or do a lot of walking. Temple construction starts tomorrow, and I would really, really like to be involved, but the same damn problem applies. I'm really tempted to ignore the foot pain and do what I want to do, but I'm really afraid that would leave me unable to walk around the terrain of Flat Creek at Flipside (not to mention it would injure my foot more seriously, but priorities, yaknow?). I wanted to make it to Cheesefest (not the name, I know, but I love saying Cheesefest) today, but I don't have the energy to peel myself off of the couch. Urgh.
Is there anything low-key going on tomorrow? I haven't seen
onyxlynxx in at least a week (too long!), maybe she'll read this and have free time. :P
There was something else I was going to write about, but I forgot.
