I hate insurance companies.

Hate them.

I've been on the phone for almost an hour doing "case review" with poorly-trained, poorly-educated "beef-witted, goat-nuzzling, spineless, drooling, syphilitic mouth-breathers with the IQ of a broccoli crown. A slime-mold-raddled, noxious and e-coli drenched broccoli crown"* phone monkeys. I can (and am) managing my "case" better than they could. No, I don't need to have my cholesterol checked every six months - it's normal, I have no family history of heart disease of any kind. I'm just fat (FAT! OOGA-BOOGA), and there isn't one single conclusive paper linking lowering cholesterol with reducing the risk of heart attacks. Where did I hear that? The New England Jounral of Medicine, dickwad. Shaddup and leave me alone. Kthxbai. What, being overweight is linked to increased rates of depression? Mostly because we have to deal with dipshits and asshats. I have a mirror you can use if you'd like to see an example of one.

I do think this is well-crafted aversion therapy, however; it's almost more tormenting to endure these calls every month than just be fracking nuts.

*descriptor borrowed from crankylitprof in re: college administrators, but it's too pricelessly perfect for insurance administrators as well.
