We face extreme danger. Unless there is immediate intervention on every front by all the major powers acting in concert, we risk a disintegration of global finance within days. Nobody will be spared, unless they own gold bars.

CNBC has been calling our economy a "contagion" all day.  Whee.

I'm not an economist by any means, and don't know economists by name well enough to know who who is more prone to melodrama, but the consensus seems to be that now is the time to stock up on nonperishables and KY.
