hint taken
Dec. 23rd, 2008 03:29 pmI've been sitting at the dining-room table staring at a piece of paper with a lot of lines on it for an hour or so now. Enough lines that the possibilities for this drawing are no longer open and free-roaming; on a blank page, a line anywhere is in place. On a half-formed idea, a line can give form to or destroy what is nascent. So I dawdle and fret. And check the internet, of course. Being denied a picture I'm looking for by some obstinate server somewhere, I flit around and come across this:
"Art, like morality, consists in drawing the line somewhere."
~G.K. Chesterton
I think the Universe just told me to get off the pot, so to speak.
*grabs pen and coffee mug*
