Sat down to work without any particular direction, got this.

Acrylic and ink on Tiziano paper, 8" by 10".  It's still taped to a board drying, so it's wrinkled here.

Picked up a few of these open stock at Jerry's the other day, and played around with them.  I like them a lot - the color does get richer when fixed, which made them a little tricky to get to know.  And it's really hard to get a non-shiny picture of a shiny picture.

Now really, it's time to sleep.

Ugh, sick.

Fuck you, ragweed.  You're no peach either, Sasha dander (though Sasha is awesome, cat food thievery aside).

At least I'm assuming this is allergies and not an oncoming cold.

Time for drugs and a nap to see if I can get rid of the walloping headache and still do what I want to do today.

Whee!

I've never been able to make it to the weekly viewing/discussions of The Power of Art that some friends of mine in the burner community have.  So I netflixed it myself - and hey, I feel like crap, I'll reclaim the couch from the dog, make some ochazuke, and watch the first disc...

...and now I am drunk on shadow-scented Caravaggio and Bernini wine, served by an art historian who seems to be just barely containing his lecherous laughter over the gravity and culture of the Catholic Church's chosen decor (and the meddlesome, murderous, inconveniently insane decorators) behind a somewhat rumpled suit, and a definitely rumpled grin.

{I think Zyrtec leaves me with alliterative aspirations.]
