It was a weekend.

After replacing two tires, IH35 being completely closed in Round Rock (again), an on-the-fly exploration of the new toll road system, and remembering that I gave the cats the last of their food yesterday, we are home.
It was a party. There were highlights, like getting to see folks I don't get to see that often, rooftop dancing overlooking the Dallas skyline,
macgeezel hooping in a corset, and watching a guy in a banana suit get hopelessly tangled in fake spiderwebs. There was also feeling like a 5th wheel at various points, and me having my turn at being That Girl and having a complete meltdown. I tried to keep it out of earshot of other party-goers, but I did scorch
longshot14's tailfeathers but good. I'm a pretty laid-back person...until I'm not. That and a very unfortunate choice of phrasing on Darling Hubby's part resulted in the Blissfish-O-Matic Pissed-Off Machine going up to 11. But we're okay now, having talked it over in the car with only moderate revisiting of the original conflict.
Now to clean the catbox of reek and decide if I have the energy to go to my studio for a while tonight. That underpainting layer should be dry enough to work over, and my palette, thanks to clove oil and saran press-and-seal, should still be wet.
