I went to the doctor for the foot.
Yay, no fractures! Definite plantar fasciitis, extending up the back of my heel on the outside edge. Much poking, prodding, and other tortures were applied. Bonus luck: Dr. Putney is a runner who had a case of plantar fasciitis himself that he struggled with for nine months. He wants me to keep doing what I have been doing treatment-wise, gave me a few more exercises to do, and has forbade walking barefoot, anywhere (even at home). He watched me walk a bit, and gave me some pointers on how to roll my foot more evenly. He also gave me some stride pointers for running, and how to land with a rolling motion rather than slapping with the midfoot.
But...I'm supposed to go easy on the treadmill for a few weeks. Biking, swimming, ellipticalling, a few minutes of walking to get used to the rolling stride - great. Running - not for two or three weeks, if the foot feels better. I am not to go to Work Weekend - he had firm opinions about rocky terrain and physical labor if I want to be mostly pain-free by Flipside.
I'm supposed to call him back if it gets more painful, or if it hasn't improved in a few weeks. If I have more than a few days where it is so bad when I wake up I can barely walk, or if it starts to hurt during and after workouts - he says he'll happily stick a big needle in my foot, but we're trying to avoid that.
So yeah, that's the gimpiness update if you're at all interested.
Now, sushi.
Edit: I used this icon because I am shopping for sports bras. I've got bouncing tits on the brain.

Is this the GP or his brother the orthopedics guy? (I've used both, but the GP one is my uber-favorite.)
