Recovering from a major depression is hard.  I feel a lot better, and I have a lot more energy, and I'm ready to do stuff.  But how do I go about getting back into things?  Especially with the Burn community - I was pretty new when I just dropped off the face of the Earth for what, five months?  Now I feel really hesitant to make contact again.  I feel like I failed somehow by not being involved through the beginning of the busiest time of the year.

Do any of you Burner types know of any leads/AFs who need a somewhat gimpy volunteer (meaning I can't carry heavy loads over distance or walk for a long time on my injured foot)?  I may be on a cane at F/s, but even so I can do assembly/take down, Greeting, manning ice, stuff like that. [info]gyesika, I've emailed Jen I just haven't heard back yet.

To the Burners on my friends list:  I'm sorry I dropped off the map.  It was me.  Can I come back?

Don't forget about Parking.

And of course you're welcome back. People that remember you well will be glad to see you, those that didn't know you well will not realize you ever left, and people that don't remember you will be happy to meet you for the first time.

What you're doing today is more important to these folks than what you've done before.

:) Thanks. I'd forgotten about Parking (or blocked it out, it's hard to tell).

You were in a dream of mine last night. My dream version of you has fascinating things to say.

Apparently indigo is the key. The key to everything. If I can relax and accept the indigo, and put the indigo into my tea (which you demonstrated carefully) it will all be figured out.

So sayeth my dream-Nobo.

And then we were somewhere else, with willows.

Very cool.

I'm not sure if actual indigo is safe to consume, but the IDEA of indigo sure is.

EDIT: Apparently, some species are used as an anti-inflammatory analgesic. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indigofera

I didn't know there was actual edible indigo - thanks!

The very word indigo has always moved me - it's so evocative of mystery and centered-ness. And of course the color is an astounding one. And it made a very pretty tea, like the sky just after sunset in a cup.
